Welt Jugend Musik Festival Zürich 2021

We are announcing the 7th World Youth Music Festival!

The next World Youth Music Festival will take place in Zurich from the 8. to 11. of July 2021. Three Years before we already set the stage for a successful festival.

The City of Zurich is supporting the Festival as an important partner in 2021 again. All involved departments agreed to a next festival in three years.

Management of the Festival in charge, with the competent leader Erich Zumstein

Very important are the persons who are working for the festival. We are proud to have already the commitments for the general management. As such we have Erich Zumstein, the principal of the music school conservatoire Zurich (MKZ), in lead as the head of management who fulfils all the requirements for this challenging task with his huge network and experience. With the MKZ, we not only get a new headquarter but also a valuable partner for a sustainable collaboration of the festival.

Orchestras from all over the world

The musical competition is open for youth orchestras from all over the world and provides an international comparison in different categories such as Harmony, Brass Band, Parade, Show, Big Band and Percussions. Our goal is to have a huge mix of bands from a lot of different countries and continents.
