The World Youth Music Festival brought the city of Zurich to life this weekend. 65 youth music formations from 11 different countries took part in the competitions and provided colourful and loud sounds in the city. A total of around 3,000 young people took part. The opening ceremony on Friday 12 July 2024 attracted around 5,000 people to the Hallenstadion. The gala concerts, the parade and the festival site on Münsterhof were also popular attractions for the public.

From 11 – 14 July 2024, young musicians from all over the world will once again be coming to Zurich. 65 youth music bands from 11 different countries have registered to take part in the World Youth Music Festival 2024. In addition to the competition performances, the festival offers a rich supporting programme with a brilliant opening ceremony in the Hallenstadion, a parade through the Bahnhofstrasse and two gala concerts..

Bis Ende Oktober 2023 können sich Jugendorchester aus der ganzen Welt für das Welt Jugendmusik Festival in der Schweiz anmelden. Der Grossanlass findet vom 11. bis 14. Juli 2023 in Zürich statt. Angestrebt wird die Teilnahme von 80 Formationen mit insgesamt rund 4’000 Jugendlichen, die Zürich zum Klingen bringen werden.
