The entry of the nations brings a touch of the Olympics to the WJMF fever. All participating formations enter the Hallenstadion one by one – they are accompanied musically on this evening by the SWISS Band under the direction of bandleader Matt Stämpfli. The SWISS Band will be providing the evening’s entertainment with singer Jesse Ritch and trumpet virtuoso Thomas Gansch.
The dance network “roundabout” and “boyzaround” will bring together 100 young dancers – performing to live music for the first time.
The audience can also look forward to exciting shows by the explosive show drum group Drumpact, BML Talents from Central Switzerland will put on a show and the reigning world field show champion, showband.CH, will be coming to the Hallenstadion.
The young roller skaters from Precision Team Phoenix from Estonia will impress with their fast-paced and precise choreography. Jean-Luc Kühnis is responsible for the production. The exchange between the young people is important to him, which is why a festival band was formed especially for the opening ceremony – around 200 young musicians from Switzerland, Bulgaria and El Salvador will take part. The choreography was prepared in various countries and will come together in the Hallenstadion in Switzerland. The evening also offers plenty of interaction, surprises and emotion.
Jonas Zellweger and Rubina Meixger will be the speakers of the event.
The entire opening ceremony will also be livestreamed around the world.
